Non-Stop Thrills at Coronado Village Theater

Liam Neeson is back in his niche as an action star in the thriller Non-Stop, playing Federal Air Marshal Bill Marks. As the plane he and 150 passengers are traveling on makes its way across the Atlantic Ocean to London, Marks receives a series of anonymous text message threats that a terrorist will kill a passenger every twenty minutes, unless he receives $150 million dollars. The film is a well-done action movie, especially since it takes place 40,000 feet above the ground and therefore has limited space to conduct itself. This small scenery does not hinder the film’s action scenes, but it does make for a far-fetched and illogical conclusion. Though the plot is smart, and the reveal is also, Non-Stop may leave some audience members dissatisfied. That being said, the film is witty and engaging, and pushes the limits with the boundaries of air regulations in order to save the people and the reputations of Federal Air Marshals. Moviegoer Melissa Stubbs says, “It’s riveting, but it leaves one to question the truth and comfort of our security.”
