CHS women’s water polo hit the water hard during winter break. December 27-28th the JV team participated in the Dana Hills JV Invitational. They had a very successful weekend beating Aliso Niguel in the Championship game in the A division. Pictured above is Freshmen Jennifer Hanling, who was a big contributor to the team’s win.
The following weekend, January 3-4th, the varsity team traveled to Irvine to participate in the Newport Holiday Cup. We had mixed results with a 2-2 record for the weekend. We need to work out some of the kinks in both the defense and offense. On the positive side we had goals from a number of different players, showing that everyone is willing to step up. Coming up this week is our first league game against Cathedral Catholic at Cathedral on Thursday the 9th at 3pm. We are excited to begin League play!
