Del Chefs Prepare “Centennial Feast of Flavors” for CSF Auction Gourmet Dinner Stations

Hotel Del Coronado’s Banquet Chef Supervisor, Brian Kersey, and Banquet Sous Chef, Jason Flores, shared their amazing menu ideas for the November 16th Centennial Celebration Benefit Auction with Auction Co-Chairs Annette Winn and Kari Ursitti.

Coronado Schools Foundation’s Centennial Celebration Auction on November 16th at the Hotel del Coronado will not only be an amazing auction with fabulous entertainment, but also a culinary extravaganza to please every palate. Hosted wine, beer and non-alcoholic drinks will be offered from 5:30 to 7:15 pm, with the Del’s Chefs creating a unique menu from some of the Del’s most popular items which will be artistically and individually crafted for CSF’s guests. “Guests may choose to sample one of everything – a challenging task for even the heartiest appetites – or they can just keep getting refreshed on their favorite selections,” noted Lauren H. Fernandez, CSF’s Director of Development. New this year will be miniature desserts and coffee served tableside, created by the Del’s Pastry Chef, while guests enjoy a performance by the CoSA Musical Theatre Tour Group, provided courtesy of Dr. and Mrs. Nancy Chaconas. The Centennial Toast and Live Auction Program will follow.

The menu includes savory short ribs, shrimp and vegetarian entrée combinations, Chef tossed salads, 1500’s Mac & Cheese 3 Ways , spectacular soups, and desserts sure to please. Pair these savory creations with complimentary wine, courtesy of longtime supporters Kate and Benny Chan and Lennie and Jan Clements, Coronado Brewing Company beer, and non-alcoholic drinks provided courtesy of Angela D. Stanley, Surtronics, Inc. and you have party perfection!

Tickets just $112.50 through October 31st and a limited number of reserved tables are still available. BE Polished is working with the Auction Team to add to the Centennial Celebration décor theme with doors opening for registration and silent auction bidding at 5:30 pm. Guests will be greeted to the sounds of CoSA’s Jazz Ensemble, underwritten by Coronado Private Bank, under the direction of Matthew Heinecke. CHS and CoSA advanced student art will be available for bidding, made possible through the generosity of Jill Hardman, Art & Frames by Wood Gallery. Preview the student art at Leroy’s Kitchen & Lounge, 1015 Orange Avenue, after October 25th. And, in keeping with the 100-year anniversary of the Coronado Unified School District, Del Realty is underwriting historical Coronado heritage photos for guests to bid on and take home.
