Residents call for city action to clean up Coronado beaches

Some Coronado residents are blaming their mayor for trash and raw sewage spilling on the beaches in front of their homes.

Residents told 10News there is dangerous debris showing up on the sand, including nails and hot coals. According to residents, they are often left behind by beachgoers.

Additionally, some residents said they could smell dead birds and dog feces coming from an overflowing sewage drain seeping onto the beach every time it rains.
