Photos From Coronado High School Art Walk and Isa Guadalupe Medina Fashion Show

Student paintings and photography crisscrossed the quad for the Art Walk.

The famed Coronado High School Art Walk returned on May 2nd, 2013! Original works from the talented students in CHS beginning, advanced and CoSA visual arts classes were on display in the quad for the public to enjoy. AP Studio artists showed their portfolios in the black box theater and a new twenty-four foot mural by senior Julian Navarrete (featuring leaders throughout history) was officially unveiled in the history/math building. The Art Walk coincided with this year’s Chalk Walk, where student artists spent the school day outside and used sidewalk chalk to create colorful pictures on large plots of cement. CHS alum and fashion designer, Isa Guadalupe Medina (Class of 2012), returned to her alma mater to showcase her African-inspired designs during a fashion show in the theater, using current CHS girls as models. If you couldn’t make it to tonight’s reception, be sure to stop by Coronado High all day tomorrow to check out the artwork on display.
