SAN DIEGO — About 280 Navy sailors were scheduled to depart from Coronado Monday for the United Arab Emirates to provide security and defense at the ports of Jebel Ali and Fujairah.
The deploying sailors are with the Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 5, according to Naval Air Station North Island’s public affairs office.
