Yogurt Escape Partners with CSF to Support Public Education

Coronado, CA – Yogurt Escape, Coronado’s only self-serve frozen yogurt shop, enters its second year with a second annual donation of $1,000 to the Coronado School’s Foundation, as a Business Partner in Education. During its first year, Yogurt Escape focused on serving the customer while supporting the local community, with significant support to Coronado schools, including Coronado Middle School tennis and lacrosse teams and Coronado High Islander Football. Yogurt Escape was founded as a family operation with the goal of becoming the premiere self-serve frozen yogurt operation in San Diego.

“The Yogurt Escape team is thankful for the community support we’ve received over the past year from Coronado’s incredible community,” said Scott Quan, President, Yogurt Escape. “We have sought to thank and contribute to the community through local sponsorships, donations to Coronado Schools Foundation, partnering with SAFE, eCoronado events, participating in the Christmas parade, among other events.”

Coronado’s public schools have benefitted from the support of the over 65 business partners who participated in the 2009-10 Business Partners in Education (BPIE) program. “We were elated with the support of the business community for our first year of producing the combined student directory, featuring our business partners. We continue to encourage parents, students, teachers and administrators to shop locally at these restaurants and shops as well as utilize the services of the service-related businesses, “said Carla Bacon, BPIE Chair and CSF Board Member. “And, we know our Coronado students enjoy the healthy yogurt varieties.”
