Coronado City Manager Mark Ochenduszko announced today that he will retire on his birthday in February. Ochenduszko, 54, held two director positions with the city, one with Administrative Services and the other with Human Resources, before he left Coronado in 1991 to become assistant city manager in Temecula. He was later hired as a city manager in Campbell, in Northern California, and then in Cypress. He returned to Coronado in 1999. “I was a 21-year-old senior in 1977 when I interned in Coronado,” Ochenduszko said. “I really had my mind set on becoming a city manager, and it was always a dream to manage Coronado.” Read the entire Union Tribune article here.
