Maria is a single mom who legally immigrated to the US from Tijuana with her two children. She has worked hard to provide for her children who are now grown, educated, and gainfully employed. However, because Governor Gerry Brown and most Democratic politicians in California that have declared CA a “sanctuary state” endorse open boarders [sic] and support illegal immigration, naturalized citizens like Maria have a hard time competing in the work place against illegal immigrants who work for less. How can Maria pay her income and property taxes along with her health, property and car insurance when illegal immigrants are stealing her cleaning jobs? When some CA cities release criminal illegal immigrants instead of turning them over to ICE, it’s Hispanic neighborhoods populated with people like Maria that are victimized. Voters have to decide if they want to support politicians who endorse CA’s sanctuary state policies or if they want to back candidates who support legal immigration and employment for naturalized citizens like Maria.
