We were out and about in Coronado today and noticed that Leroy’s Kitchen & Lounge sign was up and the front scaffolding was removed. The door was open and we ‘snuck’ in for a few photos and questions. It turns out that Leroy’s will do a ‘soft opening’ today, Tuesday, July 19th after 5pm. This new restaurant replaces NadoLife’s Beach ‘N Diner at 1015 Orange Avenue.
Walking into Leroy’s, we noticed the open ceilings, raw wood theme and comfortable seating areas on both sides of the kitchen. It reminded us of restaurants you would find off-island in Banker’s Hill or North Park. Sharing the wall with Mootime (another NadoLife company), is a sleek bar with plenty of room to enjoy the spirits of the lounge while watching a game on their multiple flat-screen TVs.
Not only did we capture a few photos (including some of Leroy Mossel himself), but we took some notes from a ‘discovered draft’ of their ‘urban eclectic’ menu. We were not given official permission to display the menu here (yet), but we decided to chance sharing a few items – hopefully the ‘NadoLife Village Pizzeria Mafia‘ isn’t reading this post. Some menu items may change before or after opening night, but we just couldn’t resist giving you (and your taste buds) a little bit more of an inside scoop:
Ahi Crudo
Lamb Brochette
Jidori Chicken Ciabatta
Shirmp Tostada
Short Rib Baguette
Poke Tacos
Burger & Truffle Fries
Diver Scallop Sliders
Assorted Cheeses, Meats and Salads
It’s very exciting to see a new restaurant open up in Coronado. If you want to be one of the first customers to try it out, show up today after 5pm to enjoy a meal at Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge. We encourage locals and visitors alike to support this new locally owned and operated business.

Lots of exposed wood and warm earth tones welcome you to the main dining area. Note Leroy buzzing in the bar.
We coerced Leroy Mossel to pose for a picture in the restaurant that bares his name. Leroy is the VP of NadoLife.

Congratulations NadoLife on this new business – we can’t wait to try it out.
