Indulge in the Flavors of Northern Italy at Primavera Ristorante During San Diego Restaurant Week

Primavera Ristorante will invite San Diegans to dine and drink as the Italians do with a three-course meal during San Diego Restaurant Week. The popular Coronado restaurant, located at 932 Orange Ave., will offer a selection of traditional Italian dishes available Sunday, Sept. 22 through Sunday, Sept. 29.

Primavera’s specialty prix fixe menu is priced at $50 per person, with additional items available for a supplemental charge.

For starters, guests may choose between melanzane con ricotta, fire-roasted eggplant filled with ricotta, herbs and mozzarella, topped with fresh pomodoro sauce; insalata di barbabietole, roasted beets, arugula, goat cheese, candied walnuts, crimson pear and citrus vinaigrette; or prosciutto e melone, sliced seasonal melon, imported prosciutto, and buffala mozzarella. For an additional $3 charge, guests may also choose carpaccio di polpo, slow-cooked octopus served on a bed of baby arugula with lemon herb vinaigrette.

Entrée options include the choice between tortellini verdi, spinach tortellini stuffed with ricotta and fresh herbs, with porcini mushrooms and tomato cream sauce; vitello piccatina al limone, sautéed veal medallions with mushrooms, lemon, butter and capers, finished in white wine sauce; salmon di vetro, pan-seared Scottish salmon with apple cider glaze and a risotto croquette; or pappardelle alla Bolognese, pappardelle pasta with a veal, pork and beef ragu sauce, dried chile oil and mascarpone cheese. For an additional $10 charge, guests may also select filet mignon and grilled shrimp, a petite filet mignon served with pancetta-wrapped grilled shrimp in a port wine reduction sauce.

Dinner will conclude with a choice between Italian chocolate hazelnut cheesecake, flourless chocolate torte, or assorted flavors of Italian gelato.
