Coronado’s best local restaurants will be serving up their favorite fresh dishes all in one place. The Coronado Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2018 Restaurant Showcase at its annual Celebrate Coronado event on July 18. Accompanying the delicious fare will be refreshing beer and wine, coffee, gelato, amazing silent auction items from local businesses, and the chance to thank local police officers, firefighters, lifeguards and city employees!
“Celebrate Coronado is one of my favorite nights of the year,” said Sue Gillingham, Executive Director at the Coronado Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a night to celebrate all things local!”
The Chamber is thrilled to welcome local chefs from Chamber Members Crown Landing at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Current from Coronado Island Marriott, Nicky Rottens, Brigantine, Primavera, the Hotel del Coronado, and Blue Bridge Hospitality. Each restaurant will be sending their Head Chef along with specialty dishes. The food is guaranteed to be fresh and delicious and will be accompanied by beer and wine with coffee from Amalo Brew and delicious gelato from Gelato Paradiso for dessert.
This event is open to the public with tickets on sale now for just $65. The Chamber is also asking the community to help “Host a Hero” by purchasing a special $50 ticket so that a Coronado firefighter, police officer, lifeguard or city employee can attend the event for free.
This event serves as the Chamber’s Annual Community Awards, including the local Police Officer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, Lifeguard of the Year, City Employee of the Year and Naval Base Coronado Firefighter of the Year. Additionally, the Chamber will induct their 2018-2019 Board of Directors and will present their selected Volunteer of the Year and Lewis R. Hardy, Jr. Award for service to the community.
