On May 19, “Team Coronado” will play the NMCSD Wolfpack at the annual Wounded Warrior BBQ and Basketball Event at Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

Mayor Richard Bailey’s Team Coronado is being formed and will consist of representatives from the city, service clubs, and SEALS representing the Charles Humphrey Keating IV Foundation.

Former mayor Casey Tanaka and former councilman Mike Woiwode will referee the exciting game. Councilman Bill Sandke will provide live action commentary.

The event is family friendly and a great opportunity to mingle with the Wolfpack, cheer for some competitive wheelchair basketball and enjoy a delicious BBQ. All that while raising funds for both the Charles Humphrey Keating IV Foundation, to be used for their programs benefiting families of deployed SEALs, and for the Old Goats Kids Who Care programs benefiting wounded warriors and families.
