The seven Bluewater Grill restaurants in Southern California and Phoenix are making it easy for students, alumni and fans visiting the area for postseason bowl game action to enjoy the West’s freshest sustainable seafood before, during or after the big games.
Now through Jan. 9, 2018, Bluewater Grill restaurants in Newport Beach, Redondo Beach, Avalon, Temecula, Carlsbad and Coronado, Calif., and Phoenix, are offering visiting fans their choice of two limited-time offers:
- A free cup of Bluewater’s famous housemade New England or Manhattan clam chowder with the purchase of any entrée priced at $15 or more (a $6.50 value).
- $10 off per-party check totals of $50 or more, excluding alcohol and tax.
The special offers are available to fans of the teams competing in the four college bowl games in Southern California, San Diego and Phoenix:
- 29th Motel 6 Cactus Bowl in Phoenix on Dec. 26, 2017: Kansas State University vs. UCLA.
- San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl in San Diego on Dec. 28, 2017: Washington State University vs. Michigan State University.
- Playstation® Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Ariz., on Dec. 30, 2017: University of Washington vs. Penn State University.
- College Football Playoff at the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual in Pasadena on Jan. 1, 2018: #3 Georgia vs. #2 Oklahoma
To participate, fans must present an official logo or team name of one of the eight schools participating in the Cactus, Holiday, Fiesta or Rose bowls to their Bluewater Grill, Bluewater Boathouse or Bluewater Avalon server before ordering on or before Jan. 8, 2018. The two offers cannot be combined with each other, or with other promotions. One free cup of chowder per purchased entrée priced at $15 or more, or $10 off check totals of $50 or more, excluding alcohol and tax, per party. Some selections on the menu may not be available.
All seven Bluewater restaurants will also extend their popular weekday happy hours, featuring $4, $6 and $8 drink and appetizer specials, during all four featured bowl games plus the two following College Football Playoff and National Championship games.

At least 15 minutes’ prep time is required, and the feast is not served at Bluewater Avalon on Catalina Island.
