Take the guesswork out of crafting the perfect cake with master baker and local Coronado resident, Jill O’Connor. The author of seven cookbooks, O’Connor also writes regularly for the food section of the San Diego Union Tribune, and has developed recipes for Southern Living, Fine Cooking and Bon Appetit magazines.
She will be serving lots of cake and signing copies of her new cookbook Cake, I Love You: Decadent, Delectable and Do-Able Recipes at an event hosted by Ashley Gill of Salon de Ville in Coronado. The event is free and drop-in guests are welcome. Enjoy a slice of Jill’s advice for fool-proof cake making—and dig in to a great piece of cake. She will be serving Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cake, Brown Butter Banana Cake and Old Fashioned Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake with Melted Chocolate Bar Frosting.
The event will take place on Sunday, July 30th at Salon de Ville, 1134 1st Street, Coronado. Stop by anytime between 2:00 to 4:00 pm (drop-ins welcome).
