The Islanders raced out to a 44-21 lead at halftime, led by the sharp shooting of Myles Manning and the inside play of Dejon Jackson. Coronado also had 9 steals in the first half to thoroughly dominate the Scots from Calexico.
The game played out as expected; more of a tune-up for round two, than a match-up. DJ Jackson led Coronado with 27 points on 13 of 17 shooting. Jackson also hauled in a game high 16 rebounds. Myles Manning added 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting. David Rusu, Bruen Roulier, and Caden Gentry scored 7 points apiece.
