Coronado Playhouse’s 70th Anniversary Season continues with A Little Night Music! This hilarious and heartbreaking Tony Award®-winning musical of regret and desire centers around an actress and the men who loved her. The men, and their jealous wives, agree to join the actress and her family for a weekend in the country. With everyone in one place, infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring endless surprises. This Stephen Sondheim classic takes its story and theme from Ingmar Bergman’s highly respected film, Smiles of a Summer Night (1955) and includes Sondheim’s most beloved and covered song, “Send in the Clowns.”
During the six-week run of performances April 1-May 8, 2016, Coronado Playhouse, the Community’s Theatre, is raising money and awareness for Deaf Community Services of San Diego, Inc.
