Coronado has been my home since I was born. When I ride my bike around town I pass different spots that hold great memories; from the hill on Pomona Park where I first learned to ride a bike to the Tidelands Fields where I spent countless hours playing recreational sports. All my schooling has been local beginning with Graham Memorial Preschool, on to Christ Church Day School, to CMS, and finally, to CHS.

I graduated from CHS in 2008 where I played soccer and lacrosse. My junior and senior years I volunteered as a middle school lacrosse coach. After graduation, I attended Colgate University in central New York, where I continued to play lacrosse. Colgate not only challenged me in the classroom, but also en route to class, trudging through slick ice patches and feet of snow. Even though I was thousands of miles away from home, the close-knit community and small town atmosphere at Colgate reminded me of Coronado. The summer between my junior and senior year I studied abroad in London and had an amazing time living in an apartment in Chelsea. I learned that I really love traveling and meeting new people. This past spring I graduated with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. Spending four years in central New York with long, gray winters and very little sunshine have helped me realize how truly amazing Coronado is.
I’m excited to be an intern for eCoronado.com. I think Coronado has such a great community and it is awesome to work for a company which helps facilitate connections and conversation between residents and visitors. I love going anywhere in Coronado—whether I’m at the beach, walking my dog, or running errands—and seeing familiar faces. I’ve always loved reading and writing and am stoked to be writing about the people and events of one of the greatest cities in the world.
Look for my weekly articles on human interest stories, Coronado events, and more. If you have any questions or suggestions for stories feel free to contact me.
