Admiral Bud Edney was awarded Coronado Rotary’s first annual Peacemaker Award on February 8, 2012 for his work with the National Defense University’s Capstone Program. As a Senior Capstone Fellow, Admiral Edney mentors newly selected flag officers in foreign affairs accompanying them on overseas field studies and providing introductions to their military counterparts, American ambassadors, and senior leaders of foreign governments. Admiral Edney’s breadth of experience has proven invaluable to our future senior military leaders as he offers analysis of international affairs and military issues. Further, he provides personal insight and perspective to ensure a mutual understanding of objectives and ultimately, peace through stability and diplomacy.
