San Diego’s premiere dog training company, Pawtopia, which has always served the North and Central San Diego Counties, is offering specialized services to meet the demand of dog owners living in the downtown and beach communities. Pawtopia trainers see different needs in dogs that live in homes in North Country from those that live in the downtown or coastal regions, such as apartment living, leash walking and dog-park or beach behavior.
“At Pawtopia, we believe that, like people, all dogs learn differently, so we customize a training program that is unique to each family,” said Colleen Demling, owner, Pawtopia. “This unconventional method has become so widely regarded that we have expanded our offerings to meet the unique needs of dog owners throughout the county.”
As in North County, Pawtopia offers two training options, including private training and group classes, in the central region as well. The private classes are in-home, at a park or a convenient location for the dog and the owner. The group classes generally run for five weeks and cover either basic obedience or advanced obedience/canine good citizen classes.
“We are always offering group training courses in the downtown, uptown central beach areas and Coronado,” added Demling. “Dog training has the stigma of being very expensive; however, when done in a group setting, it is a very economical way to produce fast results. Some times it doesn’t take much to get your dog behaving better.”
