Golf: Two Losses for CHS Boys

On Tuesday, Coronado High School Boys’ Golf team grabbed their clubs and headed to the Country Club of Rancho Bernardo to play against Scripps Ranch High School. Playing them for the second time this season, Coronado had to recover from last month’s loss. Unfortunately, Scripps Ranch snagged another win and defeated Coronado 224-181. Team captain Mateo Valles golfed one of his best matches this season, with a total of 36 strokes in nine holes.

On Thursday, Coronado hosted Cathedral Catholic High School at their home course. This resulted in another loss for Coronado, 229-194. However, sophomore Gino Frederick played his best round ever this season, shooting 40 strokes in the nine holes.

Upcoming Matches:
  • Monday, April 16 vs. St. Augustine High School at Riverwalk Golf Course @ 2:30 PM
  • Thursday, April 19 vs. La Jolla High School at La Jolla Country Club @ 3:30 PM
