Wednesday morning I walked down to the free shuttle stop at 2nd and Orange to head south towards the Del. I arrived a few minutes before 9 AM in order to get the first shuttle. The shuttle usually arrives at that stop a few minutes after 9 (I’ve taken it many times). I waited, and waited. About 9:05, I see a shuttle heading north towards the Ferry Landing. 9:15 – I see another shuttle heading north towards the Ferry Landing. No sign of one coming my direction. In disgust I start walking to my destination at the 800 block of Orange. 9:30 – I see a third shuttle heading towards the Ferry Landing. I reach my destination and look back down Orange. Still no sign of any shuttle heading downtown. There should have been at least two buses headed downtown by this time. What are all those buses doing – having breakfast at the Marriott? If you want folks to use the shuttles, then stick to the schedule. What gives?
