The Parking Meters Without Feeding Hours!

I posted this little challenge here last week: <WAIT! I’ll give you the reason next Tuesday!>> It’s Tuesday! Parking meters are not ‘on duty’ for 24 hours a day. They have their feeding times and their rest periods that were determined by negotiations between the ‘meter union’ and one of our city’s agencies. To be fair to all, these feeding hours, along with other potential parking restrictions, need to be communicated to all concerned, especially the USERS. To avoid adding sign posts to the existing forest Coronado has opted for a very good solution at most parking meters in town:

The wrap around the meter support post communicator is great! It avoids signs on tall posts, like the one below, that covers one single parking space!

The spaces in the median have unique hours of operation and have a very generous cost to parking time ratio of 1:8. One $ dollar for eight hours!

The problem is: WHICH EIGHT HOURS? There is no indication of hours of operation for the meters in the median and in front of Chase bank.

See, no hint of when the revenue gladiolas need to be fed. The parking fees and time limits are different, which are visible through the meters window, but no indication of the ‘feeding’ times!

The ones in front of the bank accept nickels and dimes, besides the quarters, but again, no times when they need to be fed!

Of course, the City appreciates your donations by parking meter, but it appears that enforcement has jumped the gun and not all the components to issue citations are in place. So, until they finish and post the hours, you may fight “expired meter” citations in the Isabella median and in front of the Chase Bank with a high probability of success.
