REVISED SCHEDULE – SILVER STRAND BIKE PATH REHABILITATION PROJECT

SILVER STRAND BIKE PATH REHABILITATION PROJECT A project to rehabilitate the Silver Strand Bike Path will begin in early November. This project consists of slurry sealing approximately 236,000 square feet of the bike path, crack filling, asphalt repairs, and removing and replacing the associated pavement markings within the City of Coronado (adjacent to Silver Strand Boulevard [SR 75] from Avenida de las Arenas to 2,000′ south of the Coronado Cays entrance). The construction schedule is as follows: Nov. 3-6 – Crack sealing and asphalt repair. Flag persons will direct bike path users around the construction area with some sections of the bike path to be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 12-13 – Slurry sealing the bike path. The bike path between Avenida de las Arenas to approximately one-half mile south of the entrance to the Coronado Cays will be closed to traffic for 48 hours. Nov. 16-17 – Striping the bike path.
