Developing unshakeable self-esteem is serious business. For the past 23 years, Coronado’s Martial Arts America has made it its mission to do just that. With an outstanding karate program we have been able to graduate one group after another of outstanding leaders, men and women, boys and girls of all ages whose achievement of black belt not only reflect their own accomplishment but reflect on their families and our community as a whole.
On August 18, Martial Arts America promoted Tom Mezzacappa to the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt. Tom began his training at Martial Arts America in 2006, training 2-3 times per week while also participating in football and wrestling at Saint Augustine High School. Tom is a freshman at California Maritime Academy in Vallejo, CA, majoring in Marine Transportation. He graduated from Saint Augustine High School this past June.
