Whitney Benzian has joined ParkLife Realty, a leading Coronado real estate company.
Whitney, raised in Coronado, comes to the company after nearly a decade of working as a public relations professional and public policy advisor in both the public and private sectors in San Diego. He brings extensive experience in real estate, marketing and community relations.
He began his career as a policy, communications and land use analyst for a local elected official before running a rental housing industry trade association in San Diego. In between these two roles he worked at Southwest Strategies, a prominent San Diego-based public relations and marketing firm.
Whitney is active in Coronado’s civic affairs. He was President of the Coronado Historical Association for three years and served two terms on the board. Whitney was also a member of the committee that conceived of and started the Coronado Tourism Improvement District. His other local roles include membership and service to the Coronado Yacht Club, tenure as a Director of Coronado First Bank and WildCoast, a non-profit conservation organization. Currently, Whitney is a Director of the Coronado Island Film Foundation. This groups is working to bring a film festival to Coronado. In 2010, he was selected by San Diego News Network as a “35 Under 35” local leader to watch.

Whitney is a graduate of Coronado High School, Sarah Lawrence College (B.A.) and Pepperdine University (Master of Public Policy).
