Coronado Businesses “Work Through” Downtown Power Outage

So there we were, my friend Dan McGeorge and I, strolling into Clayton’s for lunch…just when the “Blackout” began. And while everyone in downtown Coronado was caught by surprise with the power outrage, most Coronado Businesses braved through it and continued to work with a smile.

At first we thought the blackout only affected a few blocks, but as we crossed Orange and continued our search for a “cooked” lunch – it was clear that most downtown folks were without electricity.

So we strode into Coronado Bliss to visit Cindy Anderson to see how her biz was doing, and it was almost business as usual – the excellent staff there carried on with candles and flashlights – as you can see by the pic Dan snapped.

So, here’s to all the folks who worked through the great Power Outage of 2013 – and let’s hope we don’t see another anytime soon!
