Coronado, CA–Please join us on Wednesday, December 3rd, for The Del’s Holiday Festival, officially marking the start of the holiday season. The Del will be transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with the resort’s magnificent outdoor ice rink – celebrating its 10th year of skating fun – photos with St. Nick and his elves at Santa’s Village, holiday booths with games and prizes, and NEW s’mores on the beach and a skating performance. Mayor Casey Tanaka will “turn on” the 100,000 lights at 6pm, with a skating performance to follow and a festive fireworks display at 6:45pm.
Coronado school children perform holiday favorites on stage in Grande Hall from 4pm to 5pm.
This year from 4pm to 8pm, The Del is making it easier to visit with St. Nick with Santa Express Passes at Santa’s Village on Vista Walk, where the little ones can have photos with Santa and his elves. Express Passes will be available in half hour increments, allowing families to enjoy the resort’s festivities instead of waiting in line. Passes will be available from 3:30pm.
Kids will love playing the complimentary holiday games at prize booths on the beach from 4pm-7pm, with complimentary s’mores from 6pm to 8pm. And from 4-6pm and 7-9pm, Skating by the Sea will be offered on The Del’s beachfront ice rink, $25 with free skate rentals. A portion of the skating proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego. Gift wrapping for items purchased in The Del Shops that evening will be done by members of Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary – Coronado Unit, with all proceeds going to benefit the hospital.
Please join us for this Coronado family tradition on December 3rd!
