Megan Weber’s Coronado story started four years ago when her 8th grade drama teacher decided that her knack for theater should be broadened at Coronado School of the Arts. She auditioned, got accepted, and a week before the start of freshmen year she moved to the island.
Reflecting back on the last four years, she has loved her entire high school experience. Starting at a new school is never easy, especially in high school, but Megan says that her transition was easy because, “everyone was so nice and welcoming.” The one teacher that contributed to her great high experience was Spanish teacher, Ms. Silverman. Megan says, “on top of being a good Spanish teacher, she was easy to talk to and I knew I could go to her if I needed anything.” In the last four years Megan’s most memorable experience was her junior year powder puff. She loved seeing the class of 2015 work together and have fun participating in all the powder puff events. In these last few months of high school Megan is looking forward to the senior class trip to Disneyland and being able to decorate her graduation cap.
Next fall Megan will be attending Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. She chose this school because, “they have my major, and it is close to home yet far enough away to have some freedom.” She also loves the campus and the fact that it is a private Christian university. While at Grand Canyon University Megan plans on majoring in English literature, which will assist in her future plans to one day be a young adult novelist.
One fact that no one knows about Megan is that her sophomore year she auditioned for the X factor.
