Primavera Ristorante to Celebrate Thanksgiving with Festive Three-Course Meal

Felice Ringraziamento! Primavera Ristorante, located at 932 Orange Ave. in Coronado, will open its doors for a new family tradition—offering the restaurant’s first-ever prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner, available exclusively on Thursday, Nov. 22 from 2 to 8 p.m.

Created by Executive Chef Alfredo Canedo, Primavera’s specialty Thanksgiving menu will be priced at $69.95 per person. A specialty cocktail will also be available for the celebration.

To start, guests may choose between: butternut squash bisque served with cinnamon crouton and mascarpone whip; insalata di figura con barbabietole, rainbow beets, red crimson pears; endive salad with candied walnuts, roasted pepitas and apple vinaigrette; bruschetta de pulpo, Spanish octopus with chili tomato pesto, Spanish olives, Grana Padana cheese and avocado; or cozze e vongole affumigatto, P.E.I. steamed mussels, littleneck clams, chicken apple sausage, fennel, leek and cognac.

Entrée options include: taccino a la provincia Toscana, Diestel organic turkey breast roulade with bacon, ricotta de pistachio, portobellini, spinach and cranberry gastrico de mirtillo; bisteka mare e monti, prosciutto-wrapped filet mignon topped with seared scallops and bacon-wrapped shrimp, served with potato leek gratin; ravioli de zucca, butternut squash ravioli, shiitake mushrooms, Amaretto, goat cheese and toasted pumpkin seed; or scallops di parma, scallops, prosciutto, apple risotto, Boniato sweet potato and lobster butter.

Dessert offerings include: torta de zucca formaggio, pumpkin spice cheesecake; amanti del cioccolatto, cappuccino crunch, salami de chocolate, white chocolate mousse and pan de chocolate; or apple blossom, baked cinnamon apples slices wrapped in a flaky pastry topped with vanilla bean gelato and caramel.

The Thanksgiving-inspired sangria de cidra manzana, made with prosecco, brandy, Pink Lady apple, Angry Orchard hard cider and pomegranate molasses, will be priced at $14.
