Pet of the Week | Rico, a Chihuahua for Adoption or Foster

Little Rico Is One Hot Tamale!

Handsome Chihuahua Rico came to PAWS from another shelter, where he was taken in as a stray. Rico has had a rough start, but he’s got a great personality and is getting lots of TLC and training at PAWS. Rico would prefer a forever home, but would also appreciate a foster family to let him hang out in a home while he patiently waits for his forever people to come along.

· Rico is full of fun and personality. He loves zipping around the PAWS play yard and showing off his jumping abilities.

· When the fun is over, Rico loves nothing more than a good snuggle in the laps of his human pals. Because of his rough start, Rico would appreciate an adult family with no other pets.

· Rico may have been mishandled in the past, so he hasn’t always been comfortable being leashed or handled while with PAWS. He is working on these skills with his friends at PAWS, and has made a lot of progress. Rico will need a dog-savvy adopter to continue his training.

· PAWS will include training sessions with Rico’s adoption or foster situation, and will cover all medical and food expenses while in a foster home.

Rico’s Stats
