Two fifth graders in Ms. Tickner’s class at Village Elementary wanted to take advantage of a school project and do something to help others. Jaya Jost and Eva Vinegrad created a GoFundMe page titled “Headbands for Homeless” and raised $225 dollars for the homeless. The girls also crocheted headbands with a loom and a needle. They made more than 25 headbands which were donated, along with the funds raised, to the homeless shelter at Father Joe’s Villages.
