On April 28th, Coronado Middle School Best Buddies and CMS PTO are holding a fundraiser for the Best Buddies CUSD chapters. It will be a fun and fabulous night at the Aaron Chang Ocean Art Gallery in downtown San Diego from 6-9pm. Plan to enjoy live music, silent auction, raffles, wine, beer and appetizers all among the setting of Aaron Chang’s amazing photography. It is sure to be a fantastic event!
Coronado Middle School is thrilled to have a Best Buddies chapter led by CMS special education teacher, Mr. Jeremy Handysides. Students enjoy meeting at lunch, venturing out in the Coronado community, and spending time connecting with each other.
Best Buddies is an international organization whose purpose is to provide one-to-one friendships and leadership opportunities for students with special needs and neurotypical peers. The goals at CMS are to create weekly opportunities where students can interact in fun, meaningful activities. Best Buddies operates on an annual budget that is self-generated through fundraising. All money raised will go to provide funds necessary to continue the Best Buddies programs at CUSD.
Donations are being accepted for the auction, as well as bottles of wine for the event. If you’d like to make a donation, please drop it off in the CMS front office (550 F Ave). Donations are tax deductible.
