The Coronado Flower Show is fast approaching and the show’s organizers are asking, “What will YOU be entering?”
For 92 years, the flower show’s success has relied on the willingness of local gardeners and designers to share their favorite blooms with the public.
The competition is open to any amateur gardener or designer. Best of all, there is no fee to enter!
A complete schedule, which contains all the entry categories, themes and directions, can be found on the flower show’s website at www.coronadoflowershow.com. (Design Division entries require pre-registration). The schedule can also be found throughout the community, including the Coronado Library, City Hall, Visitor Center and florists’ shops.
This year’s show, titled “Our Family Tree … Out on a Limb,” will be held Saturday and Sunday, April 8 and 9.
Entries should be dropped off on either Friday, April 7, from 4 to 6pm or Saturday, April 8, from 7 to 9am.
Convenient drop-off parking is available on C Ave; carts and volunteers can help transport items from the curb.
The flower show’s awards ceremony is Sunday, April 9, at 3pm. Entries must be picked up on Sunday at 4pm. Cut flowers and roses will not be returned but are for sale on Sunday at 4pm.
