Coronado Optimist Club Meetings Start Day on Positive Note

By Lee Cargill

Optimist International logoEvery Thursday morning at the Coronado Community Center, starting at 7 AM, the Coronado Optimist Club meets.  It is always enjoyable. The first half of the meeting usually includes highlighting support to the youth of Coronado in some capacity, welcoming guests and new members, and announcements from the President as well as from members.  The second half features a presentation by a guest speaker.  Below are photos taken at a meeting on December 15.  Two of the photos show checks being provided by President Jim Zoll.  Throughout the year, financial support is provided to a broad range of youth programs.

This club is one of the premier clubs in all of Optimist International. A vibrant membership and outstanding community support have been present since the club’s founding in 1970.  Anyone interested in any aspect of this club should contact President Jim Zoll at 435-1398 or by email at jimzoll @ san.rr.com.
