I met Carrie soon after moving to Coronado 14 years ago when our business required services of an attorney.  Carrie came highly recommended. We have worked closely on several contract negations.  I am always amazed at the way she listens to your needs, then cuts to the salient points instantly and does not stop until she has a solution.  We have received emails from her at two in the morning and then again at five AM.  Does the lady never sleep?  Soon our business relationship became a friendship and I observed her pouring the same energy and skill into her service to the people of Coronado.  Whether it be business, council matters or volunteering, she applies herself equally.

Over her many years of service Carrie has earned the respect of the residents of Coronado.  What many may not realize is how well respected Carrie is among the regional leaders, quietly guiding by example in the Navy, non-profits, and at SANDAG chairing non-partisan committees.  Carrie is the Mayor we need to make sure Coronado’s voice is heard outside of our community.

When Carrie makes a decision you can be assured that it is from her conviction.  If Carrie is on the other side of an issue it is worth re-examining the facts because you just may have missed something. Some people would rather be told what they want to hear. I want to know the best analysis of the facts and that is why I am voting Carrie Downey for Mayor.
