Bungalow Yoga celebrates one year on Nado; new year brings more classes, services

Coronado’s only semi-private yoga studio, Bungalow Yoga, is celebrating their first full year in business January 13.

“I am so grateful that so many locals and visitors have supported the business and allowed me to bring this unique vision to the island,” says owner Andrea Kane.

The studio offers Ashtanga, Yin & Restorative, Vinyasa, Flow, as well as a YogaBarre and Barre cardio weight class. All classes are reserved through the online scheduler or mobile phone app and each class holds a maximum of six students.

“The small class size enables each student to really focus on individual goals; deepening each pose and concentrating on proper technique. This can make the hour quite challenging. The semi-private concept doesn’t work for everyone, but I am so appreciative of the students who consistently call the Bungalow ‘home’.”

The main specialty of the studio is private sessions.

“I see clients as early as 4:30 AM and as late as 11 PM,” Kane said. To accommodate client requests, 30 minute mini-sessions are available. Shorter sessions are an option for students in physical therapy, rehabbing from surgery or who are just starting a new physical routine.

New 75-minute evening classes begin January 19. These classes are intermediate level and aimed at those looking to boost their existing practice or even out more rigorous workouts like running and CrossFit. According to Kane, students can expect a challenging class designed to strengthen and tone, to counteract the stresses of the work day and settle the body down for sleep.

Bungalow Yoga is located at 1107 8th St. More information is available at the website, http://BungalowYogaCoronado.com. You can also call 619.522.0026 to speak with Andrea directly.
