Susanna’s mother was born in Coronado and her father, Bryan, is a 1966 graduate of Coronado High School. Her father is also a former XO of NASNI.
A favorite event of both title holders was the Princess and her Frog daddy/daughter dance for Naval Special Warfare service members.

Miss Teen Coronado, Katie Hearther, was born in Hawai’i to parents who are both native Californians. Katie arrived in Coronado in 2011 when her naval aviator father received orders to the USS Ronald Reagan. She played soccer, basketball and volleyball in middle school and received the Nancy Lewis award recognizing the most outstanding eighth grade girl at CMS.
