There is an accident on the bridge approximately 500 yards past the toll plaza in the eastbound (outbound) lanes, this is causing a backup with traffic in the city. Additionally, CHP has issued a Sig Alert for the west bound (in bound) lanes as well due to a fire truck blocking the #1 lane.
UPDATE at 5:20p: All lanes are now open on the bridge, there is residual traffic back up but it should be cleared out soon.
