San Diego, CA (October 17, 2012) Coronado resident, Daniel Sullivan, has been working hard to increase the amount of deployed renewable energy and assist San Diego residents in declaring their energy independence. These awards come in addition to the state rebate, federal tax credit, and electric bill savings. Modeled similar to the California Solar Initiative, there are three phases of funding. Those who sign up first, receive the highest incentive available. The program has a goal of assisting residents to commit to installing three megawatts of solar power. Success of this initiative will result in San Diego retaining its top ranking as the number one solar city in the nation, create for a clean energy future, and decrease our need for more power plants.
