WalkSanDiego is looking for volunteers to help rate the walkability of Coronado streets. As part of its mission to promote walkability, WalkSanDiego is developing a Regional Walk Scorecard. Field work for the scorecard is the most important component. WalkSanDiego will rely on an army of volunteers to fan out across the region and rate their streets using BestWALK a new smart phone app custom made for the San Diego region. Residents will walk streets in the San Diego region and input data based on questions asked through the app.
Volunteering can take 10 minutes or several hours, depending on how much they desire to walk. Your efforts will contribute to a map of improvements for future funding and pave the way to get more people moving in San Diego. Don’t have a smart phone? No worries.
