Press release from my record label, I wanted to share with Coronado!
Kelsea Little graduated from Coronado High in 2007, and has since been making her mark in the music world with her harp. During high school, she, Mack Leighton and Joseph Lorge formed The Wrong Trousers and won the hearts of their classmates at the school talent show, but college got in the way and the band fizzled out.
In her last year at UC San Diego where she studied Literature and Writing, she was signed to a local music label, Aural Gravy Records (www.auralgravy.com) She spent a year writing and recording her first solo album, Personal Myth, of original songs and it was released in December, 2011. Kelsea accredits most of her musical talent and songwriting skills to her 4 years spent in Coronado School of the Arts, which she loved every minute of.
This April, she and her folk-rock band, Kelsea Little & the 78s (the drummer of which is also a CoSA graduate, Jose Guerrero), are going on their first tour up the coast. They have a myriad of shows booked, some at bars, some at coffee shops, some at big music venues. Before they leave, they’re playing a big kickoff show at The House of Blues in San Diego, March 30th.
To raise tour funding, they’re using an arts supporting website called Kickstarter. If you’d like to help her out, the link to their Kickstarter page can be found on Kelsea’s website, www.kelsealittle.com. Check her out on Facebook, and get frequent updates at www.facebook.com/kelsearaelittle.
