Reel Theology Intersection of Faith and Film
Coronado Community Church sponsors a bi-monthly opportunity to view and discuss how recent motion pictures present questions of faith. This Sunday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. the feature film will be The End of the Affair from 1999.
Ralph Fiennes, Julianne Moore and Stephen Rea turn in great performances in the film adaptation of Graham Greene’s novel that poses provocative questions about love, faith and God’s dealings with human beings. The story has an unexpected twist that will leave viewers reflecting on their own faith and how each of us serves as vehicles of God’s grace, sometimes without knowing it. The film is beautiful, dark, electrifying, leaving a message to be pondered for weeks.
