She’s at it again; local musical artist Tokeli and her all NEW band are rocking the house at San Diego’s premiere music venue, Anthology. If you haven’t visited this fantastic music/restaurant venue, you don’t know what glamour, beauty, energy and indulgence awaits you. Anthology is San Diego’s answer to a New York City supper club and world-class concert venue; in fact, New York legends who have played there have even said that New York doesn’t have anything like it! If the venue weren’t enough to entice you, how about a live world music band onstage so dynamic that both San Diego Music Awards and the San Diego Entertainer and many more have nominated them for Best Album and Best Live Performers! The band has been featured in numerous publications as San Diego’s most dynamic homegrown World Music band, a troupe of incredible jazz musicians who have turned their efforts to branding an all-new genre of music they like to call the World Groove Revolution, a blend of Brazilian jazz, funk, rock, dance music and electronica. It’s very danceable, very listenable and exciting to see live. Tokeli (daughter of local physician recently passed Dr. James Mushovic) is a native and long-time resident of Coronado, nominee of “Best Jazz Album of the Year” for 2007, with a sultry voice and great onstage personality.
