Cops and Robbers: One Arrest for Child Cruelty, Multiple Arrests for Controlled Substance Possession

Crimes:

7/30/18: Petty Theft near 100 block of Ocean Court

Unknown suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole a check book, a tub containing $100, and other miscellaneous paperwork. The suspect then forged the victim’s signature on a check and cashed it for $360.

7/30/18: Grand Theft near 1300 block of Orange Avenue

Unknown suspect fraudently stole $989 via a MoneyGram money transfer from the La Salsa restaurant.

7/28/18: Defrauding Innkeeper near 1500 block of Orange Avenue

Subject checked into the Hotel Del Coronado beach villa. Subject then checked out with an outstanding balance of $1809.76. Attempts by property management to collect payment were unsuccessful.

7/28/18: Burglary of the Second Degree near 4000 block of Coronado Bay Road

Suspect entered a parking garage on the bottom floor of the Loews Coronado Bay Resort and took a pair of gloves and tools belonging to the hotel and an employee. The total value of the items taken is approximately $320.

7/27/18: Grand Theft near 3200 block of Silver Strand Boulevard

Officer was dispatched to the Fiddlers Cove management office for a report of a stolen boat dinghy. The total loss is approximately $1,500.

7/26/18: Petty Theft near 1200 block of Churchill Place

Unknown suspect stole a black Scorpion motorcycle jacket from a motorcycle parked at the location. The value of the jacket is $550.

7/25/18: Malicious Mischief/Vandalism (Misdemeanor) near 2000 block of Mullinix Drive

Unknown suspect used black marker to vandalize the men’s restroom at Tidelands Park. The cost to clean the restroom is unknown.

7/24/18-7/25/18: Petty Theft near 300 block of D Avenue

Victim reported his unsecured beach cruiser bike to be stolen from his front yard. He did not give anyone permission to take or use the bike, and there is no current suspect information. The value of the bike is $250.

8/1/18: Carrying Loaded Firearm in Public – Felony near 1000 block of First Street

21 year old male

7/30/18: Taking Vehicle Without Owner’s Consent – Felony near 500 block of Orange Avenue

13 year old male

7/29/18: Disorderly Conduct Due to Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 800 block of Orange Avenue

44 year old female

7/28/18: Possession of Controlled Substance for Sale – Felony near 300 block of A Avenue

7/27/18: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Misdemeanor near 800 block of J Avenue
