Gelato Paradiso Grand Opening Weekend

Gelato Paradiso logo

Gelato Paradiso, which first emerged in Orange County in 1999, is opening its fourth overall location, and its second location in San Diego County on Friday, December 15th. The concept has remained the same – small batches of gelato and sorbetto hand crafted daily in house, using imported Italian ingredients and locally sourced produce.

The Grand Opening Weekend will begin on Friday, December 15th with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Richard Bailey and City Council members scheduled to take place at 11am. The celebration will continue on Saturday, December 16th and on Sunday, December 17th, with free balloons, face painting, and the announcement of the Free Gelato For A Year winners, a contest that is currently open to gelato enthusiasts on Gelato Paradiso’s website and social media pages (facebook, instagram).

Locals familiar with the brand’s location inside The Headquarters at Seaport Village will immediately recognize the colorful presentation and bold flavors of the over 30 gelato and sorbetto recipes beautifully displayed in an authentic Italian dipping cabinet. Gelato Paradiso recipes were crafted with considerable passion and expertise by Sicilian chefs and the company’s longtime Production Manager, Pedro Quevedo.

With an updated design, look and logo, this new location in Coronado will showcase gelato being made on site in a beautiful state of the art kitchen with a viewing window for the public. “We’re really happy about the new look and feel of this new store,” said Gelato Paradiso Store Manager, Petra Cornelius. “It’s really exciting. This will be our flagship store for us moving forward.”
