CORONADO At low tide, in the sands beneath the towering Coronado Shores condominiums, lie signs of buried pleasure. Recent storms have temporarily washed away layers of beach that usually entomb the remains of an old gambling ship called the S.S. Monte Carlo, which ran aground 73 years ago. Portions of the 300-foot vessel now lie exposed to sun, surf and sightseers. A Coronado city crew examined the wreck yesterday, removing portions of exposed, rusting rebar and other material deemed a safety hazard.
