Built in 2003, this 55m craft is owned by Sir Robert Ogden and is valued at $94 million dollars. Truly a work of art, it’s a floating palace featuring fully air conditioned cabins, a massive marble bathroom with jacuzzi, gilded gold leaf woodwork throughout and a full time personal chef with an assistant. It can travel over 5,000 miles in a trip. In the mid-deck section is a stowed Comittie Portofino ( 7.5m mahogany speedboat ) which can be lowered into the water from onboard. About the owner Sir Robert Ogden: Sir Robert Ogden has made his fortune as a businessman in spotting potential where others might see only difficulties. He was one of the first developers to see in London’s docklands “so much unused space so close to the city” when others wouldn’t touch it. In the post-industrial north he saw the potential in slagheaps and has profited from taking out the coal and redeveloping them for recreational use. He is feted as the country’s leading owner of national hunt race horses. Read more from the Gaurdian. See a close up image from a visit to Australia here. Do you love staying connected to Coronado?
