The public is invited to join Employment & Community Options in celebrating their 25th Anniversary! The “Taste of Our Community” event will feature samples of signatuire items from over 20 local restaurants, wineries and breweries while benefiting an admirable cause! Employment & Community Options is a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of low-income adults with developmental disabilities through employment opportunities, life-skills training, and independent living services.
Along with the tastings, guests can enjoy special entertainment, a silent aution and emcee services by former San Diego Charger Billy Ray Smith. The event is going to be held at the Coronado Community Center (1845 Strand Way Coronado, CA 92118) next Thursday February 25th from 6 tp 9 p.m. This organization has unique ties to Coronado, not only because of the location of the event, but because many of their employment program participants work in and around Coronado! For example, the “Coronado Micro-Enterprise Group” is one of their most successful employers. A few local restaurants will be sponsoring the event as well. Lil Piggies, Village Pizza and Mootime Creamery will be donating free samples of their best items at the event.
Tickets are only $45 and there are a limited number available! To purchase tickets, or for additional information on the event, please call Megan Beardsley (858) 565-9870 ext. 101 or log on to: http://www.communityoptions.org/news/calendar_tasteofcommunity.php |
