SAN DIEGO — Additional fluoride will be added to the water used in San Diego, Coronado, Del Mar and Imperial Beach beginning Dec. 22 to meet standards set by the California Department of Public Health.
Fluoride is placed in imported water earlier in the treatment process and also naturally occurs.
Fluoride is an additive that has gone into water in many areas for decades.
